The Consultant Register

The Consultant Register is operated by the British Accreditation Bureau (BAB), the UK's pre-eminent body for people certification. Our extensive involvement in business support activities has led us to the realisation that in order to take full advantage of opportunities or avoid catastrophe, businesses need access to experts they can trust.

Unfortunately, most ‘registers’ are merely lists of suppliers or a membership listing. Often there is no formal vetting of any kind. The Consultant Register is different. We only list accredited consultants (known as Certified Practitioners) that have met and can maintain exacting standards; and we don’t accept commissions or introducer's fees!

Below are the standards that all accredited consultants must meet and maintain in order to be listed on The Consultant Register:

  • Min 2 years experience in practice.
  • Consultant’s skills assessed.
  • Qualifications verified.
  • Three referees interviewed.
  • Mandatory Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Trading record and probity checked.
  • Mandatory Professional Indemnity insurance (PII).
  • Ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Annual affirmation and reviews.
  • Performance standards applied and monitored.
  • Formal sanctions applied if in breach of standards.

The Consultant Register is a FREE to use service. That means you can use it as often as you wish. All we ask is that you register and agree our simple terms first.
