24 years in senior management roles in Asia, CEO and Senior Vice President of several respected Hong Kong/China listed companies subsidiaries, with specific expertise in international business development, Asia procurement and supply chain management, China business operations, restructuring manufacturing, marketing and distribution, in technical products, construction materials and hospitality/retail furnishings. He returned to Europe in 2003 and is based in London. Jeremy is a non-executive director of various companies and also advises companies on supply chain issues globally.

About this Consultant
I also work as a consultant for the furnishings, engineering and construction industry, helping clients locate and procure usually high standards of product from low cost countries, as I lived in China for 20 + years. I can therefore help a client to get through the ‘normal’ companies to a very special capability of higher standard of factory, who can produce for retail and hospitality standards. You can read some of my experience on another consultancy group’s website where I am quite active in this, advising primarily the financial sector on companies and technology. However usually my clients are designers, contractors, property owners.

Typical projects where I would bring some unique insights could be
* developing an export strategy, and agents/representation overseas
* helping review the cost of bought out components in a product, and determining if it would be practical to manufacture offshore, and implementing the 'where' and 'how' stages
* providing hands on practical assistance in the above processes, as well as helping formulate strategic thinking
* helping fast track new product development, ranging from development, registration and protection, costing, sourcing and targeting markets and distribution strategy

- a Chicago producer of furniture who wanted to shift production to China
- a UK construction services client who requires outside help on product development and reviewing sourcing strategy
- a major European sofa producer wishing to locate top-tier manufacturing resources in China
My approach is to invest time at the outset to really understand and define the issues that a client needs to address. This is always very valuable and essential to defining the work to be done, the outputs and the milestones.
A new client we will be working for in early 2010 said that the detail we went into in presenting our approach as already shifted their strategic thinking.
A telephone conversation is usualy the best way to determine if I can assist. If we feel we can we would meet and spend a couple of hours defining the objectives and issues. Following that, we would submit a draft proposal defining the project so we are in agreement on the areas to be addressed.
Payments are normally staged and related to milestones and performance.
